Dapoer Bandoeng

Helloooooooooooooooooooo peepsssssssssssssssssssssss!
Hows life?
Kali ni my post is gonna be about one of my favorite things in life, FOOD!
:D

Yeah, asides from photography, astronomy, physics, music and travelling, There are two more things that I love, that is, food and cooking!
;D

Yeah, i know, a guy who likes to cook is usually a guy who is kinda lembut and everything, and usuallly lembik.... But NO, I do not agree with that...
Because I cook, and eat and play sports, well yeah, I'm actually independant because I MAKE my OWN food.
:)
So yeah, don't criticise people on things you can't do.
These past three weeks, I've been working at my sister's restaurant, Dapoer Bandoeng,
which features some amazing Sundanese food!

Let me give you guys a tour of the menu! :P
Takleh kasi taw sume, sbb banyak sngat utk ditulis
so I'll share some of the most famous ones:

1: Gado-Gado @ RM5.90
A kind of mixed veggie topped with peanut sauce, a rich source of vitamins and minerals since it is very healthy and does not require oil to make..
2: Ayam Penyet @ RM5.90 (POPULAR)
It is smashed chicken with spicy sambal garnishing, although this menu can be easily found in most Indonesian restaurants, ours use high quality chicken and freshly made sambal
3: Ayam Bakar Kecap @ RM5.90
This one is grilled marinated chicken with sweet soy sauce.....
4: Ayam Bakar Bali @ RM6.20 (POPULAR)
Similar to the Ayam Bakar Kecap, but with a different touch. Opposite to its predecessor, which tastes sweet, the Ayam Bakar Bali gives off a sweet and spicy sensation which will take down any appetite.
:)
5: Nasi Bakar @ RM4.20 (VERY POPULAR)
One of my personal favorites, the nasi bakar is fried seasoned rice and then grilled over live fire which gives it a fullfilling taste for both your stomach and your tongue.
6: Sayur Asem @RM5.50
A mix of long beans, red beans, diced corn, pumpkins, marinated with daun melinjo in a sweet sour soup.
7: Sop Buntut @ RM11.00 (VERY POPULAR)
This is one of house specialities, Dapoer Bandoeng's traditional oxtail soup.
On my personal observation, if you want to taste this soup, you had better come early, because we have to restock every day due to the amazing demand. :)
8: Tahu Telor @ RM4.50
Home made fried tofu covered with eggs.
9: Ikan Goreng @ RM30++
Deep fried fish. Yeah, the description is simple to what is the most expensive item in the menu. Want to know why? Because for me, it tastes so good that I don't even know how to explain it.
10 - The Paket Menu @RM7.50 - RM13
These are usually the most preferred choices of all the customers as these are combo meals that contains a variety of choices, for example:
The Nasi Ayam Penyet contains white rice, fried tofu and tempe, some veggies and the Ayam Penyet for only RM9.50
Another example is the Nasi Bakar Komplit, which features the nasi bakar, served with fried chicken, fried tempe and tofu with a dash of spicy sambal for RM10.90.
:)
And finally, another speciality of our restaurant, the bakmi and baso!
The prices range from RM2.50 to RM7.00 depending on the combination, the bakmi are fresh egg noodles that are cooked with either spicy, salty or sweet chicken, yes, tantalizing, i know.
The Baso are meatballs cooked using hot soup which gives it a healthy and tasty and fulffilling feel to it.
There you go, some of the foodstuff that we have to offer.
:)
